About Us

The purpose of the Florida Sport Karate League is to provide quality traditional karate events which serve to enhance American Karate while providing economic support for instructors and promoters to bring Florida Karate athletes up to Olympic standards.

The FSKL sponsors traditional karate tournaments throughout the State of Florida each year.  These tournaments are designed to help prepare Florida karate athletes for national and international competition.  All FSKL sponsored tournaments use the same rules of competition set forth by the World Karate Federation.  The WKF is the premier international governing body for karate and the only one recognized by the International Olympic Committee.

The FSKL also hosts training seminars for our athletes and referees conducted by WKF World Champions and WKF level officials to make sure they are up to date on the latest rule changes and international training techniques.
